Few buildings get as much use as a school. Hundreds of people pass through the same doors, desks and restrooms every day, and a single cold can cross a whole grade in a week. Mz. Dawn's school cleaning services support daycares, K-12 buildings, private schools and trade schools in Steubenville, Weirton, Wheeling and the greater Pittsburgh area, with a focus on health, safety and a clean learning environment. Families trust schools with their children, and we want maintenance teams and directors to feel the same confidence about their cleaning partner.
Everyone who enters a school building must be someone a district or director can trust. Our team operates a drug-free workplace, the company is licensed, bonded and insured, and our practices follow OSHA-compliant guidelines. We work after the last bell, during breaks and over summer, and we can clean on a daily rhythm or in concentrated projects, such as a summer floor refinish and a full deep clean before the new term.
Schools & Education
Classroom, hallway, restroom and cafeteria cleaning for daycares, K-12 and trade schools across the Tri-State.
The challenge
What makes schools & education different to clean
High-volume restrooms
Student restrooms take more abuse than any other space in the building and need frequent disinfection and restocking to stay sanitary.
Germs passed between classrooms
Desks, door handles, drinking fountains, shared supplies and gym equipment are constant transmission points during cold and flu season.
Cafeteria and food areas
Tables, floors and serving areas gather spills and crumbs daily, and need cleaning that satisfies sanitation expectations.
Floors that take punishment
Tile and vinyl in hallways face wet boots, sports shoes and heavy foot traffic, and they need to be safe to walk on and look good.
Safety and trust around children
Anyone working near children must be reliable, drug-free and supervised. Administrators need accountability on who is in the building.

We are very appreciative to all the detail that Miss Dawn and her workers did cleaning our house and basement. They were very careful around all of the breakable stuff, very professional and met all of our needs, and very trustworthy — they found money that we had set aside and made sure that we got it. A great job at a great price.

FAQ
Schools & Education cleaning FAQs
Do you clean daycares as well as K-12 schools?
Yes. We clean daycares, preschools, K-12 buildings, private schools and trade schools. Daycares often need more frequent disinfection of toys and floor-level surfaces, and we can use eco-friendly products where you prefer. We tailor the checklist to the age group and use.
Can your staff work after school hours?
Yes. Most schools schedule cleaning after dismissal or overnight, and we can also provide a day porter for restroom checks and spills during school hours. We agree on access, building security and supervision details before starting.
Are your employees drug-free and insured?
Yes. Mz. Dawn's operates a drug-free workplace and is licensed, bonded and insured. Our practices follow OSHA-compliant guidelines. If your district or director requires specific paperwork, ask us during the estimate and we will tell you what we can provide.
Do you offer summer deep cleaning for schools?
Yes. Summer is the best time for floor stripping and refinishing, carpet cleaning, high dusting, window cleaning and a full classroom deep clean. We plan the work around your calendar so the building is ready before students return.
